Today was a NSD. I did a few loads of laundry which I dried on the line. I also earned over 200 Swagbucks, most of which were from doing surveys!

Tomorrow I have to work 4 hours, which may give me a couple of hours of overtime this week with the holiday pay. It won't be much, but certainly a few extra dollars!

I'm looking for some different ideas for how to accumulate snowflakes. Since I don't have the time to post on here very regularly anymore (although I do read the blogs), I thought I would take a few moments to read some of my own blog entries too. I noticed that compared to a few years ago, it takes me much longer to accumulate extra money. A huge source of my extra income previously had been my Saturday job (which I no longer have). I also rarely do mail in rebates anymore either. Plus, I certainly don't find nearly as much "found" money as in the past.

I have done Swagbucks for several months now, which I've been able to cash out for gift cards or Pay Pal--that is helpful. CCF, how are you able to accumulate so many Swagbucks per month? I do some surveys; however, I don't qualify for many of them.

Other than the extra ways of earning money posted on the side bar, does anyone have any other suggestions?? Thanks!

The grand total that I've saved in this account for 2009 is $8,114.55!!

I didn't actually think that this goal was within reach since I have only been working on an "as needed" basis on Saturdays. Prior to September, I had been working every Saturday. I will have to check my pay stubs, but I know without a doubt that the vast majority of this extra money was from this source.

Unless I am able to work more Saturdays (either in present position or attain another one), I most likely will not be able to set a goal like this for 2010. I'm just being realistic. However, I do plan to have an extra income fund for 2010. I will definitely track everything like I have in the past. It is fun to see how much passive income I can accumulate each month, I just don't know about setting a goal this time.

I got a rebate check from the October Rite Aid Single Check program in the amount of $114.60!!! It was all FAR items that consisted mainly of cold products. I had several coupons for the items too, so I made some extra money. Some of the products I won't use, but I want to donate them to a homeless shelter or another charity.

Also, I received a check from Citi Rewards for $65.21.

So a few more dollars for the extra income fund!!

I got $6.88 in refund checks in the mail this week.

Today I transferred a prescription from another pharmacy for DD to earn a $25 GC at Rite Aid. The copay for generic prescriptions is $15, so I profited $10 there.

I recently got reimbursed for the Cheesecake Factory mystery shop I did a few weeks ago. The repayment of monies spent is rewarded in the form of a GC, so I got $30 for that. I have another mystery shop scheduled there for tonight, so I am able to use the GC for the assignment. This one I'm doing tonight pays $40 reimbursement!

So I will add the $40 from the GCs + the refund checks to my extra income fund for the week.

This morning on my way to work I stopped to fill up my gas tank and found a penny by the gas pump. Then driving home from work I went to the same convenience store to pick up an early edition Sunday paper and at a nearby Coinstar machine, I spotted 2 pennies lying on the floor!

After sleeping in a bit this morning (Sunday is the only day I have the luxury of doing this), I decided to make a list of stuff to do today. I normally don't make a "to-do" list, but I might do it more often because I have a sense of accomplishment after checking off completed items.

I'm trying to be better about hanging laundry on the clothesline/drying racks as opposed to using the dryer so much. I did at least 5 loads of laundry today and hung it all out. There was a slight breeze + the temperature was in the 80s.
