Out of the items I recently posted on Ebay, I sold all of the 5 items. I still have 3 items listed with watchers on two items + a bid on one item.
After the fees/shipping costs, I netted $30.87 (4 items) so far. I am still awaiting payment on 1 item. Certainly not a lot of money, but at least something + I cleared out some clutter in the house.
+++
A few weeks ago, I completed 3 health care related surveys. I received a total of $50 in my Paypal account this week for participating in those. So more extra income!!
Have a wonderful Friday!

Earlier last week I listed an item on Craigslist. Now I've never had any luck selling anything I posted there. In fact, I listed this item before. At that time I got several responses from interested potential buyers. I was not at all successful because people would say they would meet me to look at the item and never showed up...didn't even have the sense or courtesy to call to cancel the appointment. It seems that is the rule, rather than the exception. Anyway, no luck selling the item a few months ago. Reluctantly, I re-listed the item because I really wanted to get rid of it. To my surprise, someone contacted me to make arrangements to meet me & actually followed through & purchased the item. She was a really nice person & was thoroughly interested so she paid me exactly what I posted in the ad. I explained to her that my previous experiences were not acceptable & that I appreciated the fact that she offered great communication & actually followed through on her committment to meet me. That surely is commendable these days (it seems)!! Anyway, I got $60 for the item. More extra income!!
+++
As far as Ebay goes, I have 6 items listed currently. Four of the 6 items have bids, with plenty of watchers. So it looks like I will have some extra money to throw into the extra income fund. I have about 4 more items to list that I've found around the house that I no longer need, so I will post them this week hopefully!
Have a great evening!!

I just finished listing some items on Ebay...four to be exact. I still have some to do tomorrow night. I'm not sure what to do about shipping costs, as I believe the USPS rates increase on 5/11. I don't know if Ebay will have changed the rates once the auctions end. I didn't think about it until I already listed the items...oh well.
I have some large lots of DS's clothes(that he outgrew)to list tomorrow.
I also listed one item on Craigslist. I need to clear out some of the clutter in the house.
I'm hoping I can at least sell some of it!!

Yesterday I got the CC Rewards check in the mail from Citibank that I requested last week. The amount is $68.07, which will get deposited to the extra income fund.
Then I went to Walmart with a few co-workers at lunch time. I didn't buy anything there, but I did pick up a penny near the cash register area as I was waiting in line with a friend of mine.

Today was another NSD for me!!

Today after work I did a mystery shop for a fast food restaurant. So free dinner for the children (once I get reimbursed) + a shopper's fee for entering the info online.
In other news, a few weeks ago I noticed an advertisement in the newspaper for someone wanting lawn & garden equipment for restoration/parts. The ad stated that cash would be given for items, any condition. I've had a broken down, small lawn tractor in my garage since summer. I had no idea how I would get rid of it, because it didn't run, had transmission problems, etc. Of course I didn't want to have to pay someone to come and haul it away. I called up this guy, told him the make/model, issues with the lawn tractor, etc. He offered me $35 for it, which was fine with me because I simply no longer had any use for that piece of junk! I'm just happy to be rid of it and got a bit of extra $ to add to the extra income fund. Besides, now I have room to pull my other vehicle in the garage also!
Have a great evening!

I wish everyone a prosperous, healthy new year and one in which you reach your goals.
I finally sold a paperback textbook that I had listed on Amazon. I have never listed items on Amazon before and didn't really know how to price the item. I actually didn't expect that it would sell since it is about 8 years old. I wanted to price it so that it would sell and I would be rid of it. I sold it for $10, but after selling fees I made a profit of $6.16...not a lot but at least someone wanted it!
I have 2 other textbooks listed on there that hopefully I will be lucky enough to have someone interested in so that I can make a little $ and declutter my house a bit. We will see what happens.
I earned $8.38 interest for December in the savings account for CC #3, so I will add that to the deposit for the week.
Have a Happy New Year!!

It has been 2 weeks since I deposited any money into the CC #3 savings account. I am depositing $490.80 from the following extra sources of income:
$199.12.....Ebay profits
$ 4.00.....Surveys
$ 0.37.....Found money
$193.93.....Saturday job pay
$ 35.00.....Tex. Roadhouse Mys. Shop Reimbursement
$ 58.38.....Rite Aid Rebate Check
I'm over half-way there...just from additional sources of income. I will keep plugging away at it, but I only have a little over a week before the payment is due. I definitely will have to supplement with funds from my regular savings.
Have a great evening!

This morning at work, I found another dime in a hallway between treatment rooms. I've come to realize that my co-workers are really careless about dropping coins in the locker room. I found a quarter in there that was lying on the counter. I didn't pick it up until my shift was nearly over, just to see if anyone claimed it throughout the course of the day. Since no one did, I decided it was mine!
It's crazy to me that these people don't worry about the change they drop. The majority of my co-workers really have problems managing their money from what I see and what they tell me. I'll save that for another post though!
++++
Tomorrow Ebay is having a 50% off special on listing fees for auction-style listings. I don't have anything more right now to list. I sold 2 items so far this week, and 4 items didn't sell. I'll post profits later this week.
++++
I received $1.00 deposited into my Paypal account for a survey from Greenfield online.
Have a great night!

Since my last update I have sold 6 more items and after fees I have made $56.19 in sales from Ebay. I will add that amount to my CC savings deposit for the week.
I still have 7 items listed. Two of the auctions end today and both items have bids on them. The other auctions will end later this week and most of them have multiple watchers. I don't know whether I will get any more decluttering done to list anything else before the holidays or not. We will see what happens.
Have a nice Sunday!

Today I didn't spend any money. I stayed in at lunch today (which I usually do) and ate a Lean Cuisine meal, frozen blueberries and red raspberries, and a slice of cheese. Most of the rest of my co-workers went to Chili's for lunch, but I didn't feel like spending $10 for the meal. Besides it was rainy and damp and I just didn't feel like leaving the building.
++++
Since last week I sold 5 items on Ebay with a profit of $108.80 after deducting fees. I was pleased with that. At least I made a little $ and freed up some more space in the house.
I still have 12 items listed with bids on 5 of them. There are also multiple watchers on many items.
++++
I am depositing $381.80 into my CC savings account from the following extra sources of income:
$108.80.....Ebay Profits
$145.00.....Escrow overage check
$ .01.....Found $
$ 61.99.....Citibank Cash Rewards
$ 66.00.....Refund Checks
I have updated the sidebar with this information.

I received a payment (on 1 of the 2 items that I was still awaiting payment on) over the weekend. I messaged the other buyer that didn't pay to make them aware that I planned on relisting the item. She claimed that she needed to open another Paypal account (since she was locked out of her original account) and had to wait for a pin # after linking her bank account so it would be another several days before she could pay me??? Anyway, she told me to do whatever I had to do... So I relisted the item!
Another few items sold in over the weekend plus I listed some other things (mainly electronics). I will post the profits for the items that ended through November 30 either later today or tomorrow.
++++
Over the holiday I found a penny in a parking lot when we went shopping for some food.
The kids and I had a nice time visiting with my sister & BIL for Thanksgiving. We stayed there for a few days. It was refreshing to get away for a bit.
++++
I received a check in the mail from my mortgage escrow account due to an overage since I refinanced it a couple of months ago. It was for $145.
In addition, I received $56 in refund checks from Rite Aid, Land O Lakes Butter, and A & H Oxiclean Detergent.
All of these amounts will go to the CC savings deposit for the week. I will post a summary for that and update my sidebar later today.
Happy Cyber Monday!

I continued where I left off last night with posting the rest of the items on Ebay to take advantage of the special fee deal. I will declutter some more after Thanksgiving and probably list other items before Christmas.
Still nothing from the buyer that hasn't paid yet. I will just relist the item tomorrow. Two of my auctions ended tonight & were already paid for, so I have those items ready to ship out tomorrow.
I plan to post profits after I come back from the cabin in the mountains where we go for Thanksgiving. We are leaving tomorrow night so I won't be around for a few days.
++++
I received 2 checks in the mail today. One was for $61.99 from Citibank Cash Rewards. The other was a rebate offer on Goldtoe socks which I bought at Kohl's about 1 month ago. It was $10. I will add both of these to my CC savings.
Have a great and restful Thanksgiving everyone!

Ebay has a special on listing fees Monday and Tuesday of this week. I listed a few more items on Ebay tonight and plan to list some more tomorrow. It only costs $0.18 to list with this special as opposed to $0.35!!
I'm waiting on payments for 2 items. As of today, the one auction had ended 5 days ago. I contacted her after sending her 2 invoices and no response/payment. I received a message back saying that she had computer problems and didn't have any other way to access the internet. Well...seems odd to me that she was able to email me a message!! Then she claimed she was locked out of Paypal and couldn't submit me payment. She inquired about sending payment by check--I told her I would prefer Paypal only. I plan to wait until Wednesday, which will have given her 7 days since the end of the auction to remit payment, before relisting the item. I really dislike problem buyers like this. I had one several weeks ago that never responded to any of my messages....Oh well, the joys of dealing with the public! Such fun!!
Anyway I received payments for 2 other items so far this week. My profits after fees/shipping are $80.70, which I will add to the weekly CC deposit.

Today at CVS I bought some candy & gum, plus the Maybelline Mineral Makeup which was free after getting the $8.99 EB back. So my total including tax was $15.32. I used $3.10 in manufacturers' coupons + $12.00 EB (earned a few weeks ago). My total OOP was $0.22 plus I earned $8.99 more in EB for the Maybelline!!
++++
I have 2 items ending on Ebay today. Both have bids on them so I will post my profits from that tomorrow.
Have a great evening everyone!

I sold four items that I had listed on Ebay last week. When all fees were deducted I ended up with $19.50 in profit. I still have some items listed with bidders &/or watches. I didn't earn that much money, but I've very happy to be rid of some clutter around here.
++++
I received a $15 check in the mail for a shopper's fee for doing a mystery shop about a month ago.
I will add both the Ebay and mystery shop income to CC Savings for this week.

Today I put an additional 3 items on Ebay. Now I have a total of 8 items listed. There are several watchers on many of the items. I have 3 items so far with bids so that isn't too bad.
+++
Also, I made some beef vegetable soup. I used beef that was frozen from Angel Food Ministries. I had several partial bags of frozen veggies that I added to the crockpot in an effort to make some freezer space. I'm trying to use up some food that we have around here because we will be leaving in a little over a week for Thanksgiving vacation at my sister and BIL's cabin. We have plenty of food that I don't need to go shopping before we go there. Plus, I have to watch my spending because of the CC that I need to pay off by 1/1/09!! Smile.

I just checked the items that I have listed on Ebay and noticed that there are 3 watchers on two different items and one actual bidder on another!!
++++
Yesterday, FedEx dropped off a package that contained an item from Pinecone to test and give feedback based on my opinion of the product. I don't get many sampling surveys to do where you actually get a free product + get compensated after completing the online survey.
++++
I've decided that since my CC at 0% needs to be paid off by 1/1/09, I am not adding any extra money towards the principal of my new mortgage &/or the car loan for the rest of this year just to be sure I have enough money in my regular savings and do not have to rely on my EF to pay off the $6,560 Home Depot CC. I absolutely will not pay about 21%+ interest on that card, so I need to be extra careful about my spending for the rest of the year!!

I listed four more items on Ebay in an effort to generate some extra money for this CC debt. I have 2 watchers on 2 of the items so hopefully that is a good sign.
The guy that was interested in the item I have listed on Craigslist sent me another email today saying he is definitely interested in buying it. I have a picture listed in the ad. Seems odd that he doesn't want to meet to take a look at it. He says he will mail me a money order on an agreed upon price, then I can ship him the item? I don't know, but I don't have a good feeling already about this one either! I will see what happens though...
Have a great evening!

I had a few auctions on Ebay end today. After fees and shipping my profits were $26.22, so that will get added to the CC debt. Certainly I didn't make much money on those items, but it is good feeling to reduce the amount of clutter in the house.
I'm not sure if I will list anything more for a few months. My sales haven't been that great lately...lots of watchers but not many bidders. I guess the effects of the economy have taken a toll on some Ebay sales. I don't know we will see what happens. Maybe sales would be a little better here in a few weeks with the holidays right around the corner...

I sold an item on Ebay this week for $12.99. I have another couple of items on there that the auction will end in a couple of days with some watches on both of those items, so I'm hoping they sell.
On an online refunding site I traded some coupons with someone who pays a percentage of the face value on coupons that she specified she was interested in...so I made $14.02 for that.
Finally, I'm including the $4 for the Imsyt survey that I received in Paypal earlier this week.
So I'm adding $31.01 to the savings account for these items.
+++
Tomorrow, I have settlement for the refinance on the house. It will be good to see what the monthly mortgage payment will be now since I lowered the interest rate 3.5% from my previous mortgage and am going with a 15 yr. term instead of the 30 yr. The mortgage officer gave me a ballpark figure a few weeks ago, which was less than my current payment!! Smile
Have a great evening!

I've earned enough $ to request the minimum of $20 from my Discover CC. I'm going to add that "extra" money to my CC savings.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I was doing a survey on Your2Cents tonight, thinking that I had earned enough to request payment...only to find out that they increased the minimum payout amount to $10. Previously it was $5 not all that long ago. So anyway I earned $1 doing the survey this evening, but still need to earn $5 more to get a check.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Most of my items are selling on Ebay. I have about 10 more items listed for this round until I gather more items from my decluttering ventures!!

Yesterday, I went to Walgreens to get some FAR items. I got the following items:
Chemistry Leave-in Conditioner $7.99
Nivea for Men Body Wash 4.99
Crest Pro Health TP 2.99
Revlon Nail Enamel 4.49
________
20.46
I had 2 $1 coupons (one for the body wash and another for the TP). My total with tax was $19.51. I will get a rebate for $20.46, so I will be making money on this trip.
That location was out of the L'oreal RevitaLift Anti-Wrinkle lotion and the LypSyl Lip Moisturizer that I was also interested in purchasing which were FAR as well. I think I will stop Saturday on my way to work to check another location to see if they have those items. It is on my route to work, so I wouldn't be wasting gas to just go and check.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I found a nickel at work on Saturday, so I will add that to my CC Savings when I make the deposit for this week.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Other than that, I spent yesterday packaging some Ebay items that I sold. I still have items listed with bidders and watchers...yeah!!
