Yesterday was a NSD for me. In fact I didn't even leave the house.
I got $20.49 in refund checks yesterday to add to the extra income account.
Today I went to Staples to get a few items (pens, manila folders, envelopes, binder clips, and legal pads) that were free after getting Staples Rewards. While at the register, I found a penny there.

I just visited www.toluna.com to see if any changes have been made since Greenfield online has combined with this company. I'm wondering if it is even worthwhile now to do these surveys because a minimum of 60,000 points are required to even begin to "cash out". Prior to the merger, you could request a shopping voucher if you accumulated 45,000. Now it is increased to 75,000 points!!
Other than Pine Cone and Survey Savvy, what are some other favorite online survey sites that you participate in?

Today was another NSD for me.
I got a $5 gift certificate in the mail today from Rite Aid from their Christmas promotion. I also received a Republic of Tea catalog in the mail (which I requested) along with a sample of Chocolate Strawberry tea! Has anyone ordered any tea through this company? I love drinking all types of tea and was just wondering if this brand is worth the extra money.

I was supposed to go back to work today, but both children were sick with ear aches! Today was to be their first day back to school after Christmas vacation. I made a doctor's appointment for them this morning. I spent $40 on office visits, then both needed prescriptions. Those cost $30 total + I used a coupon for a $10 gift card for having a new prescription. So a grand total of $60 spent today on copays.
I did find a penny today, plus I got a $2 refund check in the mail to add to my extra income fund.
Hopefully I can go back to work tomorrow and the children can go to school...

I had 2 no spenders this year so far--Friday and today!!
Yesterday I got a refund check in the mail for $2.88 so that will be added to the extra income account for the week.
I need to prepare some refund offers to send out tomorrow and work on my budget a bit, then I plan to relax a little.
Have a great day!

Even though I have been tracking my extra income, I haven't posted an update entry since September. Since 9/6/09 I am happy to report that $1,235.53 has been added to my extra income account!!
$299.68....Refund Checks
$406.34....Saturday Income
$294.91....Mystery Shop Fees/Reimburse
$035.00....Surveys
$006.00....Interest (9/09-12/09)
$076.25....Ebay Profits
$001.40....You Data
$115.21....CC Rewards
$000.74....Found Money
The grand total that I've saved in this account for 2009 is $8,114.55!!
I didn't actually think that this goal was within reach since I have only been working on an "as needed" basis on Saturdays. Prior to September, I had been working every Saturday. I will have to check my pay stubs, but I know without a doubt that the vast majority of this extra money was from this source.
Unless I am able to work more Saturdays (either in present position or attain another one), I most likely will not be able to set a goal like this for 2010. I'm just being realistic. However, I do plan to have an extra income fund for 2010. I will definitely track everything like I have in the past. It is fun to see how much passive income I can accumulate each month, I just don't know about setting a goal this time.

I finally tallied up my Ebay profits for all items I had listed in December. After fees (both Ebay & Pay Pal) I earned $76.25 in extra income. I am mostly happy that I cleared my house from some clutter!
I would like to wish everyone here at SA a Happy New Year! I hope each and every one of you are successful at achieving your financial goals in 2010!!
Tomorrow I plan to post my extra income since September to find out if I achieved my goal of $8,000 for 2009.

Today will be a no spender for me.
I did get some rebate offers ready this morning and mailed those out. Other than that I stopped by the bank to deposit my paycheck, then headed back home.
I had some additional personal days to use up before the end of the year, so I am off work through Monday.
Have a great holiday season everyone!

Today I stopped at Rite Aid to get a few items. I had the Fall $10 Gift Certificate from a previous promotion that I wanted to use. It turned out as a negative balance of $0.02 after the certificate was deducted from the total. The cashier gave me 2 pennies, and I was on my way!!
So far this week, I got $21.53 in refund checks in the mail. Today I also got a $1 check from Survey Savvy.

According to an email I received today, Greenfield surveys is combining with Toluna surveys effective 1/4/10. If you want to request any survey money from Greenfield (that is sitting in your account), it must be done before that deadline. Otherwise, it will be transferred to Toluna.
I've noticed in the past few months that with Toluna (which was formerly Your 2 Cents *I think*) you need to accumulate more points than was previously required to "cash out". Oh well...

Over the weekend I found a penny in a crack in the sidewalk. Also, last night at Walmart I found a nickel under a bench.
I got $6 deposited into my Paypal account today for 2 Pinecone surveys I completed over the weekend.
So $6.06 in extra income!

I got 2 refund checks in the mail today totaling $42.72. In addition, I got a $40 reimbursement in my Paypal account for doing a mystery shop last month.
I didn't spend any money today + it is still snowing. We have *at least* 12 inches now!!
Have a great evening!

I bought a Columbia jacket on Ebay that was less than $30, which included shipping. It arrived today and is in excellent condition. It is purple, dark pink, and turquoise.
+++
Last night I went to the Dollar Tree to pick up a few more stocking stuffers and there was a nickel and penny on the floor at the checkout counter.
Then today at Rite Aid, I found a dime. So 16 cents in 2 days!
+++
There is snow in the weather forecast for our area this weekend--and a lot of it. At least it is considered significant for this region--8-10 inches! I'll probably work on the finances some tomorrow since I doubt we will be leaving the house!

I didn't spend any money today, in fact I didn't even leave the house. I was busy doing laundry and baking cookies.
Some of the Ebay auctions ended today. I packaged up 4 of the 6 items that I received
payment for thus far. I will drop them off at the post office in the morning before work. I'll update my profits after the other auctions are over in a day or so.
Have a great evening!

I got a deposit in my Paypal account for $9, a rebate from Bing Cash for buying DD some shoes a couple of months ago. That will go towards my extra income fund.
Nothing much new financially other than some of my Ebay auctions will be ending tonight. I have bids on 8 out of 18 items, so I'm happy I'll be able to get rid of some clutter in the house.
Have a great day!

I had a mystery shop to do tonight at a casual restaurant. I will get reimbursed $35 for entering the information online. Our total bill, including the tip, for all three of us was $40.46. So in the end, three meals for $5.46. There are enough leftovers for another meal!

I had a no-spender today...haven't had one of those in a while!
I finished listing items on Ebay tonight since the seller special ends today. I have 18 items listed with bids on 5 of them. I still have at least 2 days left on all the listings. There has been no interest on the 2 items I posted on Craigslist.

I just received an email from Ebay offering 50% off auction style insertion fees on Dec. 8 & 9. It is good for 1,3, and 5 day listings. (I usually list for 7 days, but 5 is definitely doable!)
My camera battery died tonight as I was taking pictures of a few more items to list. Actually that happened at a very opportune time because I was just about to enter the information on Ebay. I'll postpone that task until tomorrow.
While I was decluttering the house in an effort to gather stuff to post on Ebay this weekend, DS asked if we were running out of money. He said, "well you're selling *almost* everything in the house"!! I told him that we were fine, but I wanted to get rid of some items that we no longer use and free up some room in the house.
Anyway, out of the items I listed this weekend 3 of them have bids plus there are plenty of watchers. So I will at least be getting rid of something.

I went to the grocery store pharmacy with a coupon for a $25 gift card on any new/transferred prescription. Since my copay is $10, it looks like I earned an extra $15. The gift card is specifically to use for gasoline, but that is fine with me.
+++
Last night and part of today, I listed 15 items on Ebay. Some of the items already have watchers, but no bids yet. I was going through DS clothes today. He is quickly outgrowing his clothes. Some of it I dropped off at Goodwill. The rest I will list on Ebay as a lot, as well as some pieces that I gathered from DD's closet. So I will be putting those items on Ebay probably by the beginning of the week. I don't think I've ever had this much stuff listed at one time. I hope I don't get overwhelmed when it all sells!
Have a great evening!

It's been snowing since about mid-morning, but the forecast states we are only expecting 1-3 inches of accumulation.
I spent this morning taking pictures of some items to list on Ebay/Craigslist. I listed 2 items on Craigslist. I have about 8-10 items to post on Ebay. I may tackle that job later today or tomorrow.
I need to update the budget, finances, and sidebar that hasn't been done in months. Hopefully I will get that finished by tomorrow as well.
Enjoy your day!

Today I was off work--I took a vacation day. I still have several more to take this month or I will lose them.
I had a few items to return at Staples and Kohl's. I returned an ink cartridge at Staples for $34.97 which was credited back to my CC. I also turned in 2 cartridges for recycling. I guess they give the $3/cartridge now in the form of Staple Rewards payable each quarter instead of the coupons that I received the last time I recycled some.
At Kohl's I returned 3 Christmas ornaments that were an impulse buy at the time, but I decided that I didn't *need* them. So $6.72 was credited for those. I even made it out of the store without purchasing anything additional!
I went to the Dollar Tree to pick up a few stocking stuffers.
I found a penny also while running errands. So I saved almost $50 with the refund transactions, recyclable cartridges, and found money!!
Have a safe evening!

I get payments deposited in Paypal yesterday for $100 in reimbursements for 3 restaurant mystery shops + $3 from Pine Cone!
Then I went to Walmart for a few items which included yams $0.25/lb, celery $0.88/stalk, head of cauliflower $1.98, and broccoli $1.25/lb...all pretty good deals in my opinion! I found a penny at the checkout register there.
So I had extra income yesterday of $103.01!!

Oh I found another penny in the Wal-mart parking lot yesterday morning!

I haven't been working at my Saturday job since August. I was laid off because of a decline in business. I was only given a couple of days notice, but was given 2 weeks of severance pay. The severance was certainly not expected, but was a very generous gesture. On occasion I fill in for employees who need a day off, but those opportunities have been very limited. Believe me I have enjoyed only working 5 days/week, but I miss the Saturday income!
I haven't even been able to find another position to fulfill that void, but I will keep looking!
Today I was pleasantly surprised when I received a phone call asking if I could work for another co-worker this Saturday! I don't really *FEEL* like it, but I will work since I could use the extra money...plus I didn't have any real plans for Saturday anyway!

I got a rebate check from the October Rite Aid Single Check program in the amount of $114.60!!! It was all FAR items that consisted mainly of cold products. I had several coupons for the items too, so I made some extra money. Some of the products I won't use, but I want to donate them to a homeless shelter or another charity.
Also, I received a check from Citi Rewards for $65.21.
So a few more dollars for the extra income fund!!

It has been more than a month that I have posted on my blog. I just haven't really been in the mood...too busy with my children, work, and continuing education courses. I have been reading some of the blogs occasionally though.
+++
I took my Honda in for a state inspection, oil change, and tire rotation today. It turns out the car didn't need any work to pass inspection! Yeah! Actually, other than maintenance (oil change/filter and air filter) the only item that I replaced so far were the tires, wiper blades, and the headlight bulbs. It has 79K miles on it. I bought the car new in 2005 and am well pleased with it. I would definitely purchase another Honda again in the future, but probably a certified used vehicle. In comparison, the Ford Escort that I've also purchased new in 1998, has a lengthy repair history. DD is currently driving it until she can afford to buy something more reliable and less costly.
Anyway, I had coupons for an oil change with free tire rotation for $18.99 + 1/2 price inspection. With taxes I paid less than $36!!
+++
I plan to update my sidebar and post an entry bringing everything current since my last extra income deposit. Hopefully, I can frequent my blog on a more regular basis!
Have a great evening!
