Found a penny

Last night I found a penny at Walmart.

Also I got some avocados (5) for $0.58, which I thought was a great price. At the register they rang up $1.38 each. I pointed it out to the cashier...I mean after all, I would never pay $1.38 for 1 avocado!! She adjusted the price for me as the guy behind me in line was huffing & puffing, deeply sighing, etc. for the extra time it took her to credit me the $4. He ended up switching to the next lane and I left the store before he did anyhow! Smile I don't care it was $4!!!

    That poor man, he was probably in a rush to go home and.....do nothing! I got some dirty looks the other day in the grocery store when I requested my coupons back from the cashier so I could see that they had all been properly applied to the receipt. The (new) cashier was somewhat insistent that even though I hadn't SEEN the one for $1.50 come off she had done it right after the item. Um, no, I didn't hand you the coupons until the end. I had her total it up anyhow so I could pay, so the dirty looks behind me would not become huffing & puffing, and then I took my receipt and the coupons off to the side. Sure enough, not only had she NOT taken off the $1.50, she had entered the last 3 coupons manually and not doubled them. That was worth another $1.10. The manager was very apologetic as he refunded the money, and I made some excuse for the poor girl who was no doubt flustered. I'll give her another chance, even though she was giving me attitude the whole time.
