More $$ to CC Savings

I am adding extra income from the last week to my savings and updating the sidebar info. The total deposit is $447.21!! It really helps that I am using my Saturday job income to fund this account.

I have some more bids on the Ebay items I listed. One of the auctions is over tomorrow night, so I'm hoping to be able to soon add more $ to the CC.

    Am I understanding you are not charging any more on your cc's until you have the pay off aount in your savings to cover them once the zero % runs out?

    I am doing the same thing, I'm floating about 20,000 dollars right now on two zero % cc's and storing the cash in ING Direct.

    Great, be careful though, this is a dangerous game we play. As I understand it, if we faulter on any account, the other cc's can kick in the interest just by seeing the late payment hit our credit report.

    I look at my accounts DAILY, I am a bit OCD with milking the system for every cent I can get (Thus I am floating 20,000 dollars), but I pay the price by closly managing my accounts (My wife also watches but not as much as I do, but that is a second set of eyes).

    This is the first time I have done this, I actually had the balance on another card and stansfered (99 dollar fee) about 15,000 to a second card (The first zero% ran out). At the same time, we received another zero % card so were charging that one up. In the end, we will be able to have about 44,000 charged (Floating).

    After this deployment I will pay off the two credit cards and our truck (A total of about 65,000 dollars) in one month, that sure will feel good. That will leave only our house payment.

    If your looking to charge more so you can earn the interest, here is a little trick. The US Mint, will sell you a 1 dollar coin (The presidential series) for one dollar, and they will ship it to your house for free. It costs nothing, you charge it to yourcc, they send it to your house, you deposit in the bank. I just did this with 2,000 dollars worth of coins, no issues (Just bring the coins in a few hundred at a time).
