Survey + Found Money

August 4th, 2009 at 04:35 am

Yesterday I found a penny in the Wal-mart parking lot. Then today at the mall I found another penny.

I got a Pinecone survey DD into my Paypal account today for $3.

So $3.02 to the extra income fund!

Mystery Shop Update

July 21st, 2009 at 05:27 pm

I got DD for doing 2 Texas Roadhouse mystery shops from last month. The reimbursement amount is $60 so I will add that to my extra income deposit for the week. I have another Texas Roadhouse assignment to do tomorrow evening. The children really enjoy going with me and best of all it is very low cost since I get most of it reimbursed as compensation.

Yesterday I got a $40 GC as reimbursement for a Cheesecake Factory mystery shop I completed a few weeks ago. I'm not counting that as extra income because I am able to use that as payment for the next assignment that I complete.

It Was a Busy Weekend!

July 21st, 2009 at 02:20 am

Of course Saturday I worked. I got out about 1 hour early...last patients (a family of three) didn't show for their appointments.

After I got home, I did laundry and yard work. I mowed the grass, pruned some bushes, and bagged the twigs/weeds.

Then Sunday I had another Cheesecake Factory mystery shop assignment to complete. Since it was for brunch, the children & I left at 9 AM, as it was about a 2 hour drive. It was located in a mall, so we did some window shopping (lots of high end stores that I have never bought anything at). After that we went to a tourist area near the bay and spent all day there. I bought several books for DD & DS at Barnes & Noble there...cost about $42. Then we got some ice cream that was $12. Throughout the day I found a dime & 4 pennies as we were walking around. Smile On the way home, we stopped at Walmart. We finally arrived back home about 11 PM. It was a fun day and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

+++
I got another refund check in the mail today for $10.97.

DD & I walked the dog tonight and I found another penny along the street...so 15 cents in found money over the last two days!

Have a great evening!

Samples, Survey, & Checks

July 16th, 2009 at 04:26 am

Today I received a free sample from Wal-mart that I requested a few weeks ago for a roll of Scott Toilet Paper and a package of Scott Flushable Wipes.

+++
I did a Pinecone survey last night & today I $3 was DD into my Paypal account.

+++
So far this week I have gotten $30.98 in refund checks in the mail.

Looks like I have another $33.98 towards the extra income fund!

Mystery Shopping, Surveys, Found Money

July 12th, 2009 at 03:59 am

Last night I did another Texas Roadhouse mystery shop. I took DD and DS along. I spent $35.75 with the tip and will get reimbursed $35. So that's $0.25 for each person! Then we went to Rita's Italian Ice for dessert, as I had a mystery shop assignment to complete there too.

I received a $5 DD reimbursement for a Bruster's mystery shop that I did last month.

+++
I got paid for a health care survey I did 2 weeks ago--$10. Also got a check in the mail today from Your2Cents for $10.

+++
This morning I went to the ATM before work at a convenience store and found a dime and penny on the sidewalk. After work I stopped at another store and picked up a penny. So 12 cents in found money today!!

So I have a bit of extra money to add to the weekly deposit for the extra income fund.

Just an update

July 10th, 2009 at 11:49 am

I sold another item on Ebay this week. After shipping/selling fees I netted $6.94 so I will add that to my extra income fund.

+++
Yesterday in the mail I got a refund check for $2.97 plus a Rita's mystery shop reimbursement check in the amount of $2.34...all of which will get added to the deposit for the week.

Have a wonderful Friday!

Refund Checks + Gift Cards

July 3rd, 2009 at 11:17 pm

I got $6.88 in refund checks in the mail this week.

Today I transferred a prescription from another pharmacy for DD to earn a $25 GC at Rite Aid. The copay for generic prescriptions is $15, so I profited $10 there.

I recently got reimbursed for the Cheesecake Factory mystery shop I did a few weeks ago. The repayment of monies spent is rewarded in the form of a GC, so I got $30 for that. I have another mystery shop scheduled there for tonight, so I am able to use the GC for the assignment. This one I'm doing tonight pays $40 reimbursement!

So I will add the $40 from the GCs + the refund checks to my extra income fund for the week.

Have a great evening!!

It's Been Over a Week!!

June 24th, 2009 at 02:48 am

I've been so busy lately, that I haven't posted an entry here in more than a week!

It seems like I may be a bit overwhelmed recently. I do work six days/week and have been doing that for a few years, so I don't think that is the problem. Last week, we had some activity or event to do each night.

DD & I went on a shopping spree at Kohl's...spent a little over $200 (save ~$93 with 30% off). She was helping me choose some clothes for myself. It seems like I have a closet full of scrubs and athletic wear, but nothing much casual or dressy. That was fun!

Then, another night we went to a pet store & bought a Yorkshire Terrier. The children have been wanting a puppy for several months now.

Also, I took DS to a local baseball game. He earned 2 free tickets at school for perfect attendance for last school year. I spent $17 there on food/drinks. He really enjoyed it as he has never been to a game before.

+++
I've been busy doing mystery shops also. I did one at The Cheesecake Factory. I took the children along with me. None of us had ever been there before, and let me tell you I was really impressed with the service and quality of the food. Smile
I also did a mystery shop at Texas Roadhouse with my BF. I do mystery shops there quite often.

+++
I had 2 items listed on Ebay within the last week and both sold, so I will post the net sales on those in a couple of days.

I didn't even post my extra income total from last week. I guess I will add it to deposit for this week.

+++
It seems that I don't have much of an interest in tracking expenses anymore. Of course, I'm aware of the main monthly expenses (mortgage, utilities, student loan payment), but I'm tired of diligently accounting for each penny that I spend on a regular basis. And I've been doing just that for months now...but I don't know if I can keep it up. It is very tedious, especially when one has an organization issue like myself! Smile

So that's my update for the last week!

Pinecone + Mystery Shopping Income

June 11th, 2009 at 02:45 am

Last night I did a lengthier Pinecone survey with a $5 reimbursement instead of the usual $3. The money was deposited into my Paypal account this morning.

++++

Then I received a DD in my checking account from a mystery shopping company that I do assignments for in the amount of $58.72 (including reimbursements & shopping fees) for May.

So some additional funds for the extra income account Smile

Survey Money

June 2nd, 2009 at 02:58 am

A week or two ago I completed a health care survey where the compensation is a gift card of my choice. I haven't picked it out yet, but I will add this $10 to my extra income fund.

I also got $3 from Pinecone in my Paypal account today for a survey I did the other day.

So $13 survey income so far this week Smile

You Data Earnings + Picked Up Another Penny

May 24th, 2009 at 01:12 am

This week I have earned $1.20 from You Data. Not a lot, but certainly better than nothing.

I stopped to fill up my car with gas today and found a penny by the gas pump. That's 3 cents I've located this week!!

Have a great evening!

I Redeemed My Market Points

May 16th, 2009 at 11:00 pm

I finally reached over 1000 Market Points with Global Test Market to cash out--1025 to be exact. So I will be getting a check for a bit over $50 from them in a few weeks. I took me a while to accumulate points this time...I didn't seem to have as many invites. The last check I received from GTM was in December 2008.

Have a great evening!!

Ebay and Survey $ Update

May 15th, 2009 at 01:21 pm

Out of the items I recently posted on Ebay, I sold all of the 5 items. I still have 3 items listed with watchers on two items + a bid on one item.

After the fees/shipping costs, I netted $30.87 (4 items) so far. I am still awaiting payment on 1 item. Certainly not a lot of money, but at least something + I cleared out some clutter in the house.

+++

A few weeks ago, I completed 3 health care related surveys. I received a total of $50 in my Paypal account this week for participating in those. So more extra income!! Smile

Have a wonderful Friday!

Mystery shops + found a dime !

May 14th, 2009 at 12:25 am

I signed up to do several mystery shops this week at Rita's, Bruster's, and Sonic. I've already done the first two, the other one I will do tomorrow.

+++

I found a dime by the soft drink dispenser outside of Wal-mart today!

I'm going to combine last week's extra income with this week's deposit...it wasn't that much anyhow, but still it all adds up.

Survey income + car loan update

April 29th, 2009 at 12:11 am

Yesterday I received $1 check from Survey Savvy. Also got $3 from Pinecone in my Paypal account...so $4 extra income money so far for this week.

+++

The remaining balance on my car loan is now less than $2,500.

Have a great evening!

Free lunch & Your2Cents survey payment

April 21st, 2009 at 05:18 pm

Today at work we had food catered for our staff meeting--BBQ chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, BBQ pulled pork. So a free, delicious lunch!

I finally received the $10 survey check from Your2Cents that I requested 2/18/09. The company is certainly not as efficient as other survey companies, but then again they don't offer payment by DD or Paypal. I'm just glad to have finally gotten it!!

Survey $ + car payment

April 20th, 2009 at 05:35 pm

The Greenfield online $1 was deposited into my Paypal account today, which I requested yesterday.

I also sent a $70 principal payment towards my car loan for April.

Have a nice Monday!

Sunday Update

April 20th, 2009 at 01:24 am

It was another NSD for me today. I did some yard work before it started to rain late this afternoon.

+++

I requested another $10 check from Your2Cents surveys. Of course I haven't received the one that I requested on 2/18/09 yet Frown I haven't been getting many invites for Global Test Market...that figures I am close to being able to cash out for $50. I requested $1 payment to Paypal from Greenfield online surveys yesterday.

+++

I also cashed out on my Citicard Rewards Cash for a bit over $50. I am nearing the $20 minimum for the Discover Card, so that should be doable next month.

+++

It looks like I should have a good bit of extra income coming in here in the next few weeks. I always look forward to that. It is fun watching the extra income fund grow. It reiterates the fact that even small bits of money really are important--from the found penny to the Saturday income & all amounts in between!!

Extra income update

March 30th, 2009 at 10:54 pm

Today I got another refund check in the mail for $6.75. I will add that to my week end deposit.

I have 835 points accumulated with Global Test Market. Only 165 more before I can cash out. I noticed on the GTM blog that in the near future, Paypal deposits & gift cards will be ways that they payout as opposed to only being able to request a check. So I'm looking forward to that Smile

Thursday Update

March 26th, 2009 at 06:09 pm

Yesterday I sent another $70 towards the principal on my car loan.

+++

Today over my lunch hour at work I did a mystery shop at Sonic restaurant. I've never been there before. Actually I'm happy I'll be getting reimbursed for the food because I wasn't that impressed with the quality. Hmmmm...maybe it's just that I don't like fast food that much. I haven't had fast food in months!!

Have a great day!!

Monday Update

March 23rd, 2009 at 10:56 pm

Today in the mail I received a refund check for $1.90....more $$ to the extra income fund!! Also, the $10 GC for Outback Steakhouse that I requested last week as a result of doing a health care survey arrived today. Very efficient! This is the first time that I've done surveys for them, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I was very pleased with how quickly I received the card!

I stopped after work at the grocery store and picked up a cantaloupe, salad greens, collard greens, blueberries, etc. and spent about $13. I used a $0.50 off $6 of produce coupon that I printed from showing my rewards card.

Have a great evening!!

More $$ to the fund!

March 19th, 2009 at 03:32 pm

A few weeks ago I completed a survey online for health care professionals with the incentive being $10. I got an email notification stating that my payout has been processed. It is payable in the form of a GC so I have to go to the website to choose the business from which I want the GC. I think I will choose the Outback Restaurant.

In addition I received a few rebate checks today in the amount of $52.93 so I will add that + the $10 survey income to my "extra income" fund at the end of the week.

Good mail day!

March 15th, 2009 at 01:09 am

Today I received a rebate check from Walgreen's February Easy Saver for $33.95 + a $7 check from Survey Savvy that I requested a few weeks ago. Both items will get deposited into the extra income fund next week.

I also got a sample packet of hot breakfast cereal that I requested from Cream of Wheat.

Now I'm off to watch the Suze Orman show!

More Extra Income

March 13th, 2009 at 06:00 pm

I got a DD in my checking account today for a mystery shop that I completed last month. The amount of $14 will be added to my weekly deposit to the extra income fund!

No spender + survey income

March 7th, 2009 at 12:54 am

I didn't spend any money today. Actually I didn't go out to eat at work at all this week either!

I got a $3 check in the mail from Survey Savvy that I requested not that long ago...so some extra income fund money!!

Sunday news

February 22nd, 2009 at 06:22 pm

Today is going to be another no-spender. We have more than enough food for at least a week. There is plenty of gas in the vehicles also.

I looked at the coupon inserts in the Sunday newspaper and didn't seem worth much this week. I'm going to get some refund offers ready to mail out tomorrow for some items I purchased yesterday.

I updated my profiles on Global Test Market surveys. I have over 500 points there so I am half-way to cashing out with that company. I requested a $3 check from Survey Spot today also.

Have a relaxing Sunday!!

Starbucks, Surveys, CC Rewards...

February 19th, 2009 at 12:16 am

I received an email from Starbucks today to sign up for a sample. Here is the link if anyone is interested. http://www.starbucksstore.com/products/via/freesample.asp?CCAID=SBXNWSL217T

( I don't know how to do hyperlinks!)

+++

I've done some online surveys today from Global Test Market and Your 2 Cents. I requested a check for $10 from Your 2 Cents, since I finally earned the minimum payout amount.

+++

I also requested a check from Citibank for my rewards in the amount of $68.07. I should probably have that within 1 week...it usually arrives very quickly! Smile

Friday Update

February 14th, 2009 at 01:26 am

I found more money today. At Wal-mart I found a nickel. In the locker room at work again I found a dime and 2 pennies.

++++

I got a free coupon I must have signed up for online for any Suave product. It is only dated until 02/28/09, so I want to be sure to use it.

++++

I got a GC code from a survey company for $5 for Amazon via an email.

I will add the found money and survey income to my extra income fund for the week.

Have a great evening!

Pinecone survey

February 10th, 2009 at 06:47 pm

Another $3 was deposited into my Paypal account from a survey I completed last week.

It seems like invites from all survey companies have been slow recently...or maybe it is just my imagination!!

Fast Food + Some Extra $

February 7th, 2009 at 12:23 am

Today after work I did a mystery shop for a fast food restaurant. So free dinner for the children (once I get reimbursed) + a shopper's fee for entering the info online.

In other news, a few weeks ago I noticed an advertisement in the newspaper for someone wanting lawn & garden equipment for restoration/parts. The ad stated that cash would be given for items, any condition. I've had a broken down, small lawn tractor in my garage since summer. I had no idea how I would get rid of it, because it didn't run, had transmission problems, etc. Of course I didn't want to have to pay someone to come and haul it away. I called up this guy, told him the make/model, issues with the lawn tractor, etc. He offered me $35 for it, which was fine with me because I simply no longer had any use for that piece of junk! I'm just happy to be rid of it and got a bit of extra $ to add to the extra income fund. Besides, now I have room to pull my other vehicle in the garage also!

Have a great evening!
